Cian Murphy

Cian Murphy (@cianmurf) is a faculty member at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. He was formerly a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at the Georgetown University Center on National Security and the Law and NYU School of Law. He teaches and writes on counter-terrorism and the law — in particular on UK, EU, and transnational counter-terrorism law. Dr. Murphy is the author of EU Counter-terrorism Law: Pre-emption and the Rule of Law and the co-editor of EU Security and Justice Law: After Lisbon and Stockholm. His current research includes an exploration of the implications of transnational counter-terrorism law for political freedom in the transnational public sphere.
