Casey Michel
Casey Michel (Bluesky, LinkedIn, X) is an American journalist and author who writes regularly on international corruption, dark money, and illicit finance for outlets like the The New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, and others. He has written multiple books on these topics, including the forthcoming “United States of Oligarchy,” and is currently sanctioned by the Russian regime for his work.
He received a Master’s degree in Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies from Columbia University’s Harriman Institute.
