Brian P. McKeon is senior director at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. He served as Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Policy at the Department of Defense (2014-2017) and Acting Under Secretary. In the White House, he served as Deputy Assistant to the President, Executive Secretary and Chief of Staff of the National Security Council (2012-2014), and as Deputy National Security Adviser to Vice President Biden (2009-2012).
