Daniel McGrath is Lead Counsel for Federal Investigations at American Oversight. He has represented the organization in numerous matters, including in cases seeking documents related to the Trump administration’s pressure campaign to encourage Ukraine to investigate Trump’s political opponent and cases related to federal officials’ improper use of personal email. McGrath also assists in the organization’s development of investigations into potential misconduct at federal agencies. Prior to joining American Oversight, McGrath practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison with a focus on state and federal investigations, civil antitrust litigation, and pro bono representation. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School.
