Matt Hawthorne

Matt Hawthorne is the Policy Director at the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, a coalition of national, regional and local faith groups that oppose torture and believe in the importance of human rights.  Matt also chairs the Interfaith Working Group on Drone Warfare which brings together DC representatives of national faith communities to advocate for limits on our country’s use of armed drones.

Prior to joining the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, Matt served in various roles as a staffer for Senator Dorgan and Senator Conrad.  He is a graduate of Brandeis University with degrees in politics and chemistry.
