Samantha Kiernan

Samantha Kiernan (LinkedIn) is a J.D. Candidate at Yale Law School, where she serves as a Student Director of the Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic, a Herbert J. Hansell Student Fellow at the Center for Global Legal Challenges, and a Chae Fellow in the Tsai Leadership Program. She was previously a Kerry Fellow at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, an executive articles editor for the Yale Journal of International Law, the co-president of the Yale Law National Security Group, and student co-director of the Paul Tsai China Center. Samantha has interned with the Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser, Covington & Burling, UN Trade and Development, and the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development. Before law school, Samantha worked at the Council on Foreign Relations and the United Nations. She received her M.M.Sc. from Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar and her B.A. from Brown University.
