Michelle Kendler-Kretsch (@michellekretsch) is the investigation manager at The Sentry, where she specializes in open-source intelligence and using technology and data to advance investigative work. Her work focuses on following the money of acts of corruption and war profiteering, exposing the links between dirty money and violence. She was also an investigator for The Sentry, investigating corruption in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her published work includes “Embezzled Empire,” part of the Congo Hold-up series based on the largest leak from the African continent to date. She is also on LinkedIn.
