Estella Kabachwezi (@Kaka_Estella) is the Manager for the Advocacy, Research and Communications Department at DefendDefenders (the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project), a role she assumed in 2019. A Ugandan national, he has been with the organization since 2012. She regularly engages with the U.N. Human Rights Council, the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, and other international and regional human rights bodies.
