Regina Jefferies

Regina Jefferies (@ReginaJefferies) is a Teaching Fellow and Scientia PhD Scholar at the University of New South Wales, an affiliate of the UNSW Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law, and a lawyer in the United States. She helped to lead the rapid-response team that mobilized attorneys at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to protect people affected by the Jan. 27, 2017 executive order barring immigrants from seven Muslim-majority nations, for which she shared the National Advocate of the Year Award. Prior to joining UNSW, she was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Minnesota and an attorney in private practice. Jefferies earned an MSt at the University of Oxford in 2011 and a JD at Arizona State University in 2005.
