Kirk Herbertson

Kirk Herbertson (@KirkHerbertson) is Senior Policy Advisor at EarthRights International (@EarthRightsIntl), where he works alongside civil society organizations globally to protect human rights defenders who face reprisals as a result of their advocacy and address human rights abuses that are linked to industries involved in natural resource exploitation. In this capacity, he also serves as a member of the steering committee of the Alliance for Land, Indigenous, and Environmental Defenders (ALLIED). Prior to joining EarthRights, Mr. Herbertson worked on human rights and environmental issues in Central Africa, Southeast Asia, and Washington, DC.
