Kate Guy (@kateaguy) is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Climate and Security, where she also serves as Deputy Director of the International Military Council on Climate and Security (IMCCS). She is currently pursuing a DPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford, where she studies the intersection of climate change and great power conflict. At Oxford, Kate is a lecturer in International Relations, and has led the Oxford School of Climate Change and the Oxford University Strategic Studies Group.
Most recently, Kate worked in U.S. politics and international environmental policy, with the Truman National Security Project, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, the U.S. Department of State, the White House, and various think tanks and non-profits. She earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University, and was raised in Minnesota.
