Cathryn Grothe (@Cathryn_Grothe) is a Research Analyst at Freedom House, covering the Middle East and North Africa for the Freedom in the World and Freedom on the Net publications. Prior to joining Freedom House, she worked at Women Deliver on issues related to humanitarian advocacy, gender-based violence, and refugee rights in Lebanon. She holds a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in political science and public health from New York University.
