Gigi O’Connell (@gigioconnell) studies terrorism at the University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Emeritus Center of Excellence dedicated to improving the understanding of the human causes and consequences of terrorism. She works in global anti-corruption and has a background in public affairs and strategic communication. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
