Hamid A. Formuli (LinkedInX) is a senior fellow on human rights at the Center for Dialogue and Progress – Geneva.

He is a human rights practitioner, researcher, and a former career diplomat with years of experience in multilateral diplomacy. He headed the Human Rights section of the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the U.N. in Geneva and worked as Special Aide to the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Cooperation of Afghanistan.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Diplomacy, and a Master’s Degree in Development Cooperation Policy from the Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University.
