Aakash Chandran (@ChandranAakash) is a New Delhi-based lawyer and international law researcher who earned his Master’s degree in international law from South Asian University (SAARC), India. He is currently a researcher with Leiden University’s Tracing Inherent Powers project. Previously, he has been associated with various international tribunals, organisations, and NGOs including the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), Global Rights Compliance, Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization, South Asian Human Rights Documentation Centre, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Aakash serves as a consulting editor of the Indian Journal of Law and Public Policy (IJLPP) and blog editor of the Platform for Peace and Humanity. His research focuses on matters of public international law, international criminal law and procedure, humanitarian law and human rights, and forced displacement.
