Elena Chachko

Elena Chachko (@ElenaChachko) is a doctoral candidate at Harvard Law School, where she has taught foreign relations law as Lecturer on Law. She is also an academic fellow at Berkeley Law’s Miller Center for Global Challenges and the Law. Her research focuses on the intersection of administrative law, foreign relations law, national security law and public international law. Her work has appeared in the Georgetown Law Journal, the Yale Journal of International Law and the American Journal of International Law Unbound, among other publications. It received several awards, including the 2020 Mike Lewis Prize for national security law scholarship. Elena was previously a fellow at Perry World House, University of Pennsylvania, and at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center. She clerked for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel and worked on arms control and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction at Israel’s Foreign Ministry.
