Alyssa Bernstein

Alyssa Bernstein is an Associate at Jenner & Block. Her legal work centers around complex national security-related litigation. She holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a PhD from the School of Law, Queen’s University of Belfast. Her previous academic research focuses on rebel groups in prisons, and her book, Palestinian Political Organizations in Israeli Prisons, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. Alyssa has worked at Adalah – The Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel and performed a wide range of legal and sociological research, including in Jordan and Gaza. She has been a visiting scholar at the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University, and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Georgetown University Department of Government, where she teaches a course called Prisons in Conflict.
