Nimra Azmi (@TheNimraaa) is a staff attorney at Muslim Advocates, where she conducts impact litigation on behalf of the American Muslim community, from challenging the Muslim Ban to defending prisoners’ rights. She also writes on an array of civil rights issues including Uncovered: Title VI & Title IX’s Limited Protections for Muslim Students Who Veil, Harvard Journal of Law & Gender (Forthcoming 2020). Previously, she was a litigator at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in New York. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Barnard College.
