Sareta Ashraph (@SaretaAshraph) is a barrister specialised in international criminal and humanitarian law. She authored the Global Justice Center’s report ‘Gender, Genocide, and Obligations under International Law’. While serving as Chief Legal Analyst on the UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria, Sareta researched and drafted the Commission’s June 2016 report “They Came To Destroy: ISIS Crimes Against the Yazidis“, which determined that ISIS was committing the crime of genocide. She is an associate tenant of Garden Court Chambers.
