Dr. Nasir Andisha (@AndishaNasir) is a career diplomat and academic. He was Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan 2015-2019, and continues to hold the title of Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the U.N. in Geneva for the officially recognized government of Afghanistan. He served as the Vice President of the U.N. Human Rights Council (2020). He also is co-founder and Senior Advisor of the Center for Dialogue and Progress — Geneva.

He received a doctoral degree in diplomatic studies from the Australian National University in 2015. Andisha was a Fulbright fellow at the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University. He worked with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) as a field officer and taught international relations at the Institute of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan and at Al-Beroni University in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan.
