Pouneh Ahari is an assistant news editor at Just Security and Legal Researcher at JUSTICE, a law reform and human rights organization based in the UK.
Pouneh graduated from the University of Leicester with a bachelor of laws degree, and has a master’s degree in International Development Law and Human Rights from the University of Warwick. She also studied for one year at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany as part of the European Union’s Erasmus scheme. During law school, Pouneh conducted pro bono work and worked closely with local community centers to help refugees and asylum seekers integrate into UK society.
