Nicolas Agostini, a human rights advocate and researcher, is DefendDefenders’ Representative to the United Nations. He set up DefendDefenders’ office in Geneva and has been working to advance its advocacy efforts at the Human Rights Council and other U.N. bodies and mechanisms. He also represents AfricanDefenders (the Pan-African Human Rights Defenders Network). He previously worked with human rights organizations at the national and international levels and lectured at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and the International Institute of Human Rights (IIDH) in Strasbourg, France.
