Brian Adeba

Brian Adeba (LinkedIn – X) is a policy advisor with The Sentry who has covered South Sudan for more than a decade. His peer-reviewed research on South Sudan has appeared in Intelligence and National Security and The RUSI Journal. He has also authored two book chapters on the region: “Sudan and South Sudan,” co-written with Jihad Mashamoun, in The Handbook of African Defence and Armed Forces (Oxford University Press, 2025), and “Benefitting a Few: Oil Rents in South Sudan,” in Africa and the Global System of Capital Accumulation (Routledge, 2021).
