Today we are launching a major update to Just Security’s Litigation Tracker. We aim for this resource to be the most comprehensive public record of court challenges to executive actions in the second Trump administration.
The tracker now captures cases filed since Jan. 20, 2025 and presents each case in a format that allows users to follow both individual dockets and monitor overall trends in near real time.
What’s New
The tracker now allows users to see constantly updated totals of the status of cases (e.g. “Blocked,” “On Appeal,” “Awaiting Court Ruling”). It also offers advanced filters that allow users to sort by each case’s listed status.
As the litigation proceeds apace, these tools should make it easier to surface emerging litigation patterns and to test assumptions about where – and how – courts are placing limits on assertions of executive power.
Stay Informed with Daily Updates
Every weekday our team screens new lawsuits challenging executive actions and catalogs substantive changes in ongoing cases that we are already tracking (such as a new court order). You can find a concise digest of these developments every afternoon in our “Today on Just Security” newsletter.
