David E. White Jr. served as the 14th Deputy Director of the Peace Corps from 2023 to 2025 and previously served in the White House, including as a Special Assistant to the President. He is a U.S. Army veteran of the War in Afghanistan, where he led a scout platoon in combat, earning the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, and Combat Action Badge. He is a graduate of West Point and Harvard Law School.
