Andrew Stigler

Andrew L. Stigler is an Associate Professor in the National Security Affairs Department of the Naval War College. He teaches both the intermediate course (O-3 through O-5) and the senior course (O-5 through O-6). His research focuses on causality, Operation Allied Force, threat assessment, and foreign policy. He has published in International Security, Joint Force Quarterly, and the Naval War College Review. His book Governing the Military was published by Routledge in 2018.  Stigler’s course on the evolution of military strategy was designated among the “Classes that Rock” by the Order of Omega at Dartmouth College. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Yale University and an MA in International relations from the University of Chicago.
