
Pete Nelson

Pete Nelson is a J.D. candidate at Yale Law School and M.P.P. candidate at Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs. He is a member of the Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic and Teaching Assistant for Governor Chris Christie. He spent summers with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of N.Y., with Judge Matey on the Third Circuit, and with U.S. Senator Blumenthal’s National Security Team. Before law school, Pete served as an active-duty Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, with tours in Iraq and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. He will intern with Covington & Burling in 2026. Pete graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 2014.
