Christian Meissner (@CAMeissner) is Professor of Psychology at Iowa State University, where he directs the Applied Cognition Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive & Behavioral Science from Florida State University (2001). His research has facilitated an understanding of the factors that lead to true vs. false confessions, and in the development of science-based techniques for developing rapport and trust, enhancing recollection from memory, and improving assessments of credibility. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and edited volumes, including Police interrogations and false confessions: Current research, practice, and policy recommendations (Lassiter & Meissner, 2010, APA).
