Adama Balde

Adama Balde is pursuing a Master of Science in Global Affairs at New York University with a concentration in Global Gender Studies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University at Buffalo. Her academic research examines how regional and international human rights instruments have been used to expand women’s rights in Africa, while also highlighting their limitations. Adama is passionate about bridging women’s rights advocacy across peacebuilding, development, and human rights. She aspires to work with organizations in Africa to support efforts that improve women’s and girls’ social and political access in the region.
