Véronique Aubert (BlueskyLinkedIn) is a senior human rights expert with over 25 years’ experience investigating grave violations against children in conflict and promoting compliance with international law. She is the Lead on Children and Armed Conflict at Save the Children UK, where she provides policy analysis, child rights expertise, and engages with senior officials and donors.

She co-authored Advancing Justice for Children (Oxford University, 2021), a report on accountability for crimes against children in conflict. She was Co-Chair of the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (2012–2021), playing a key role in the Safe Schools Declaration and Education under Attack reports. Prior to joining Save the Children in 2012, she spent 11 years at Amnesty International, as a researcher on the DRC and later Deputy Director for Africa, leading investigations into crimes against children in conflict. She also served as a Trustee of Child Soldiers International (2016–2019) and contributed to the development of the International Protocol on the Documentation and Investigation of Sexual Violence in Conflict (2013–2016). She was awarded an OBE in 2021 for her work protecting children in armed conflict and holds a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School (1998).
