Kate Ahrens is a J.D. candidate at Yale Law School. She received a bachelor’s degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and master’s degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. At Yale, Kate is a current student intern in the Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic, a features editor of the Yale Journal of International Law, and serves as co-president of the Yale Law School National Security Group. She is also a Ludwig Fellow in Public Sector Leadership. Prior to attending law school, Kate served for fourteen years in the United States Coast Guard.
