Syed Muzaffar Shah
Syed Muzaffar Shah is Country Director in Afghanistan for Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC). Muzaffar joined CIVIC coming from his recent job as Executive Director of Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MEC). Previously, Muzaffar was the Senior Education Consultant within the MEC and provided wide-ranging analysis of corruption vulnerability of the Ministry of Education (MoE). While he has been widely involved in anti-corruption education efforts, Muzaffar was also consultant with a Geraman NGO known as WHH on IDP policy, worked with NATO as Senior Country Adviser, worked with USAID on higher education programs, and spent 9 years at Mercy Corps Afghanistan, first in human resources and concluded his term Director of Operations.
Muzaffar obtained his B.A in Political Science and Sociology from Baluchistan University, a B.A in Law from Rabia Balkhi University and a MBA from Preston University.
